Gan Hayeled Early Care
Beginning with the 2009-10 school year, Gan Hayeled is offering our families the option of an early morning care program. Early Care will run from 8:00am to 8:45 five days a week. There will be one classroom designated for the Early Care children which will allow for supervised, unstructured play. Your child(ren) will be escorted to their classrooms by the Early Care staff for the beginning of the school day. Drop-in care is available when space allows. Gan Hayeled strictly adheres to the required adult:student ratio.
Discovery Days Program
Discovery Days is the B’nai Jacob/Gan Hayeled After-School Program with your child in mind! Take a look at the exciting enrichment activities planned for the upcoming school year! There will be three 10-week sessions throughout the year with different classes and themes for each session. Each day of the week will present different opportunities for fun, exploration and discovery.
Here’s what a typical day at Discovery Days looks like:
12:45 – 1:30 Pick-up at 3’s classroom, followed by quiet time
1:30 – 1:45 Transition Time, 4’s are escorted from their class
1:45 – 2:30 Enrichment Class
2:30 – 3:00 Snack & open pick-up time

Dramarama: Introduce your child to the wonderful world of drama, movement, and music while building confidence and coordination. With Jared Andrews Studio!
TUESDAYS: 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20, 10/27 , 11/3, 11/10
Musical Folk: An interactive program including singing, creative movement, rhythm and tonal development. There will be a variety of musical instruments explored each week. This program will be taught by Liz McNicholl, Director of New Haven’s Musical Folk program, Musical Folk.
WEDNESDAYS: 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30, 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, 11/18
Recycle Art: Learn how to recycle the old, turn it into one-of-a-kind pieces of art, and make the world a greener place. Taught by Discovery Days Coordinator and artist Lisa Cohen.

Full of Joy Yoga: This yoga class will develop strong flexible bodies while cultivating a lifetime of joy, peace, and wonder. The instructor will be Lani Rosen, owner of Full of Joy Yoga: Yoga for children, Happy for life!
